Avondale Haiti/Red Cross benefit a smashing success
24 Jan 2010 by Sean in Charleston Events
More than 700 people showed up and raised more than $15,000 for the American Red Cross. Oysters, burgers, BBQ and beer were flowing and crowds were buzzing. A great time was had.
Emcee City Councilman Tim Mallard and Pearlz Manager Mike Olson give their reactions by the oyster steamers at the back of Triangle Char & Bar’s lot.
Pearlz, Triangle, Al Di La and their distributors donated time, food and drink for the event.
The outpouring of support led to long lines and, finally, closing the entrance gate to latecomers—all for a good cause.
