Herons

Herons are some of the most commonly seen marsh birds. From the huge great blue heron to the tree-dwelling night heron, there are a variety of herons in the Lowcountry.

Herons can be spotted commonly in Charleston marshlands.  Even the small marsh near waterfront park downtown sees its share of herons.
