Charleston Boat Ramps
-
Folly River (Folly Beach)
The public boat ramp on Folly Beach gives access to the Folly River, which runs behind Folly Island towards Morris Island and to Folly Creek and the Stono River.
-
Gadsdenville Landing (Mt. Pleasant)
For access to the marsh between north Mt. Pleasant and Capers Island/Dewees Island, there is no better boat ramp than the one at the end of Gadsdenville Rd. But you’d better have a small boat.
-
Paradise Island Public Boat Landing (Wando River, Mt. Pleasant)
Your average Charlestonian probably doesn’t know the mighty Wando dries up only a few miles from the ocean. At Paradise Landing, the river is only about a hundred yards across.
-
Remley's Point (Mt. Pleasant)
Remley's Point offers easy access to Charleston Harbor at the confluence of the wide open Cooper and Wando Rivers, just north of the Cooper River Bridge (Ravenel Bridge). Be careful on windy days, as this is some big water.
-
Shem Creek (Mount Pleasant)
The public boat ramp on Shem Creek offers access to Shem Creek itself, Patriot's Point and downtown to the west and to the outer portion of Charleston Harbor/Sullivan's Island to the east.
-
Wappoo Cut (West Ashley/James Island)
The public boat ramp at the Wappoo Cut off of Folly Road in West Ashley offers access on the ICW to the Ashley River and Charleston Harbor to the north and the Stono River to the south.
-
Wild Dunes Yacht Harbor (Isle of Palms)
Located on the Intracoastal Waterway at 41st Ave. on Isle of Palms, Wild Dunes offers, for a fee, easy access to the ICW, the East Cooper marshes and the northern barrier Islands, Dewees Island, Capers Island and Bull Island.
